Challenges for the day:
There was a visit to the Astrobiology and life sciences laboratory. Very interesting to see all the gadgets used to purify water. I guess my quote today should really be “never say never.” Who would of thought that I would consider drinking my own pee, if need be.
Kendia had us construct an asteroid. Dry ice is absolutely amazing yet must be used with extreme caution. Because of this experiment I was able to understand the concept of sublimation!! Straight from liquid to gas
Individual achievement:
Apart from visualizing and understanding sublimation, we were able to find the laundry room. Apparently the area that it is locate in is known as zombie land. With caution signs warning us to stay out of the buildings that surround it, I wonder why we are still able to walk around. Asbestos are apparently to blame for the building abandonment but I’m wondering is it safe to be around them? I guess I’ll never know.
Delta Positives
Positives:
It was absolutely awesome to get to get free posters/resources at the NASA teacher resource room. Yes, I did say FREE. Great for when I finally get a classroom to decorate my wonderful walls and promote STEM.
What needs changed:
Need extensions of the above (the free resources) in Idaho. Is there anything similar?
Oh Snap!!!

Car pooling is great. Thanks to all the wonderful drivers who are willing (maybe forced) (I’m kidding) to drive us around. (Us being those with no vehicle)
Quote for the day:
“When I hear, I forget. When I see, I remember. When I do, I UNDERSTAND!!!”
