Our group visited the fluid mechanics lab and that was an awesome opportunity. I was fascinated by the colors in the fluid that help us visualize the way air is traveling or hitting the vehicle. I learned that I should make more of an effort to wash my car because apparently a clean car=better mileage. I might consider banging my car with my hammer (just kidding). Apparently, scientist are working on something like that to increase vehicle speed, this was because of the way a golf ball is shaped. Te dimples allow the ball to travel at higher speeds.
There is continued work on our team project /lesson plan. The majority of my team is leaving for the weekend for father’s days so were trying to get as much done as possible. We have split up into “specialists” (air, food/water, navigation) we’ve pair each other up with partners and it is working out great.
Oh!!! I just found out this week that what I always assumed to be the wishing star (you know the one that is the first to be seen) is really Venus.
*I want to try the demonstration Kendia talked about. It you throw a magnet near/at a whiteboard the magnet with stick to board, this demonstrates that magnetic is stronger than gravity.
Accessing the Internet from the dorm rooms is a pain. But it’s very entertaining to see everyone sitting on the balcony walkway because that’s the only place it seems to work. (Slowly but it works)
